Respite care
Caring for someone you love is a big job. Respite care gives family caregivers time to rest and recharge, knowing their loved one is in good hands.
A few hours
Regular weekly blocks for appointments, errands, or a break.
Days or weeks
Coverage during travel, work trips, or a family event.
Overnights
So the family caregiver can finally get a full night's sleep.
A smooth handoff
Before your time away, we document your loved one's routines, preferences, and contacts, and introduce the caregiver in person when possible.
During respite, the caregiver follows the routine you've set. Daily updates can be texted or emailed to whoever you designate.
Many families start with respite and later add regular hours once they've seen how it works.
Questions
How far ahead should we book respite?
For planned trips, two to three weeks lets us match and introduce a caregiver. We'll try our best for shorter notice too.
Are there programs that help pay for respite?
Some families qualify for caregiver support through local aging services or veterans' programs. The Alliance for Aging, Miami-Dade's Area Agency on Aging, is a good place to ask.
